Enbrel

Enbrel (etanercept) is a drug prescribed to ease pain and delay structural damage in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis, among other conditions. Patients taking Enbrel have reported suffering serious side effects, such as sepsis and other infections, multiple sclerosis, and cancer of the lymphatic system in children and adolescents, which have proven fatal in some cases. The FDA has required that a black box warning appear on Enbrel's packaging, warning of the potential risk of death associated with the product's use.
